Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows - 11 Awful Moments Everyone Will Hate

3. Vern Fenwick's Terrible Subplot

Will Arnett does about as well as anyone could do with comic relief sidekick Vern Fenwick, who gets a rather bizarre role in Out Of The Shadows.

Basically, as the Turtles were unable to take credit for taking down Shredder in the previous film, Vern is instead credited as the hero who saved New York, and goes about calling himself The Falcon.

Cue some mega-awkward attempts at humour as Vern exploits his fame, while his whole saviour shtick isn't remotely plausible considering that there's surely no evidence of Vern vanquishing Shredder. Why would everyone just suddenly believe him to be the city's hero?

It's incredibly weak from a storytelling perspective and underlines just how pointless the character is in these movies. Sorry, Will.
