Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows Trailer Comes Crashing In

Get ready to be either excited or angry.

So here we have it; the trailer that very few people were waiting for. As arguably soulless as Michael Bay's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles rehash was, it still made almost $500 million worldwide, thus understandably warranting a sequel. Hollywood is a business, after all. A trailer has dropped today, and it features first looks at fan favourites Casey Jones, Bebop and Rocksteady. What are you waiting for? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeaugHGd1Kw Now, call me crazy, but there are elements of this which are almost fun. Stephen Amell is a good choice for Casey Jones as any, and it looks like someone might actually have some chemistry with Megan Fox for a change. Bebop and Rocksteady, as ridiculously CGI as they appear, look to bring with them the option for some really entertaining action sequences. Where part of me wishes we'd get a dark, brutal R-rated ninja flick, more in line with the original comics, I'm also ready to appreciate that I'm just not the target audience for this anymore. There are going to be fans who go along to this out of some sort of begruding respect for the characters, and that's fine. I just think the truth is that this new iteration of the Turtles is aimed squarely at a new, younger generation. We can all complain about these new films until the cows (or rather, turtles) come home, but the important thing to remember is that we all still have our turtles from days gone past, and no one can take those memories away from the original fans. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is released on 3 June 2016.
