Tenet: 10 Reasons It's Christopher Nolan's Worst Film Ever

7. The Spectacle Is Not That Great

IS TENET BAD
Warner Bros.

As you'd expect from Christopher Nolan, Tenet is very well-made, but where it does differ from his other blockbusters is that the action is actually very forgettable for the most part. Even the scene where they literally crashed a real-life plane isn't especially interesting.

Most of the spectacle in Tenet is characters and objects going forwards and backwards and the novelty of this wears off very quickly, while there's not enough tension or stakes for the viewers since it's so hard to understand what's going on.

Compared to the amazing moments from Nolan's other blockbusters - The Dark Knight's road chase, The Dark Knight Rises' plane opening, Interstellar's docking scene, Dunkirk's aerial dogfights and... well, the entire third act of Inception - Tenet is decidedly plain.
