Carl doesn't show up until more than half-way through Dark Fate, but he sure is announced in familiar style.

Director Tim Miller has the domesticated T-800 open his front door in super-slow-motion, set to the chilly sliver of Brad Fiedel's musical score which played out when the T-800 arrived at the hospital to rescue Sarah in T2.

The moment is an almost exact reprise of Sarah's terrified run-in with the machine from T2, except this time around, Sarah has a shotgun in tow and very nearly blasts Carl's face clean off.

Before Grace intervenes and everyone reluctantly gets on the same page, that is.
