5. Linda Hamilton Steals The Show

Say what you want about Dark Fate, but one aspect of the movie that categorically doesn't disappoint is Linda Hamilton, whose performance as an aged, battle-hardened Sarah Connor is one of the film's largely uncompromised aspects.

Hamilton is totally convincing as the worn-down "Terminator hunter," and given Hollywood's shyness for casting middle-aged women in roles like this, it's great to see her taking advantage of a ripe opportunity to deepen the character's arc after she was unceremoniously killed off-screen in T3.

And while fans may have misgivings about the exact nature of her role in the film, she nails the visceral, physical commands of the part extremely well, adding an entertaining post-script to her iconic performance in T2.
