Terminator: Dark Fate Review - 5 Ups & 5 Downs

3. Mackenzie Davis & Natalia Reyes' Solid Performances

In addition to Linda Hamilton, the film's other two leading ladies deliver fine work here.

Especially impressive is rising star Mackenzie Davis as Dani's protector Grace, who brings a wiry physicality to her part, complimented by the character's terse, efficient charm.

Though Natalia Reyes' Dani is a bit hollow as a character, Reyes does enough to make her feel like more than a mere Sarah Connor 2.0, conveying the human terror of the situation while becoming increasingly capable as a fighter.

Given that Genisys in particular suffered from its wonky casting, at least Dark Fate has a bevy of quality actors going for it - nobody stands out here as miscast or remotely phoning it in.
