Terminator Genisys Reviews: 10 Early Reactions You Need To Know

10. The Opening Future War Prologue Is Handled Brilliantly

Seeing as its reboot time once again, Terminator Genisys gets to retread old ground and fill audiences in on the war between man and the machines. It was inevitable that the film would begin this way, but early reviews indicate that it's handled very well and makes the most of improvements in special effects. In their review of Terminator Genisys, Slash Film states, "the opening twenty minutes of this film is better than all of Terminator Salvation. We see a laser-gun filled assault on a machine base by the resistance and it is pretty damn cool. It very much feels like what James Cameron was trying to show us in his Terminator films, but with a more epic expansion allowed by today€™s modern day visual effects." It's great to hear that Terminator Genisys gets off to such an impressive start, but how well does it sustain this momentum once the prologue is out of the way?
