Texas Chainsaw Massacre: 10 Things You Didn't Know About Leatherface

4. His Family Faced Off Against The Ninja Turtles... Sort Of

The Ninja Turtles aren€™t exactly synonymous with the horror genre. Well, they never used to be, at least. Premiering in 2012, Nickelodeon€™s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series is surprisingly heavy on horror movie inspiration. It€™s quite evident that someone behind the scenes of the show is a massive horror fan. And in one episode's case, a big fan of TCM. The episode in question, entitled In Dreams, features horror heavyweights Robert Englund, the original Freddy Kreuger; John Kassir, the voice of the Crypt Keeper; and Bill Moseley, who, of course, played Chop Top in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. Moseley plays a general store owner who looks an awful lot like Texas Chainsaw Massacre's Drayton Sawyer. And in his shop is a chainsaw with the words "The Saw is Family" etched into it, which he eventually ends up attacking Casey Jones with. The same words were spoken by Drayton in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, and they were also engraved in Leatherface's chainsaw in the second sequel. It's sad - kids today get awesome horror references and all we got from the Ninja Turtles growing up was Bebop and Rocksteady.
