7. Some Familiar Scars

John Turturro is playing Carmine Falcone in The Batman, and it seems likely he'll be someone Gotham City's Caped Crusader is keen to take down. Common sense says he will spend most of the movie battling Oswald Cobblepot for the right to rule over the city's criminals, but going back to his relationship with Selina Kyle, and there are some very telling scars in these photos.

In Frank Miller and David Mazzuchelli's Batman: Year One, Catwoman attacked Falcone in an attempt to build her reputation after her robberies were mistakenly attributed to the Dark Knight.

That left him with three scratch marks across his cheek, and Turturro's version also has those. Could it be that he was the one who discovered Catwoman when she was attempting to rob him, taking him under his wing as a father figure?

That could go some way in simplifying their complicated comic book history, and the fact he was able to forgive her for scarring him could make her eventual betrayal - by teaming with Batman and embracing her heroic nature - land that little bit harder.
