The Batman: 10 Biggest Reveals From The Set Photos

5. The Riddler...Or His Goons

The Riddler is set to be The Batman's lead villain, but the trailer made it clear that he's not exactly going to be walking around in a bright green jacket, bowler hat, and question mark shaped cane! However, that imagery is clearly going to factor into this movie to some extent, as a number of goons have been spotted on the set of the movie.

Wearing balaclavas and jackets with question mark logos spray-painted on them, chances are they will be involved in the attack on the mayor's funeral (that was spotted in the trailer when a car came crashing into the service).

The Riddler having followers is certainly an interesting decision, and one that brings back memories of villains like The Joker and Two-Face (both of whom usually have goons who buy into what they're selling). This version of the bad guy clearly wants to make things "right" in Gotham City, though, an idea introduced by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo in Batman: Zero Year.

As for that logo, it brings back memories of something like Zodiac, a sign Matt Reeves' movie is going to really lean heavily into the idea of Batman being a detective.
