The Batman: 10 Huge Rumours That Would Change Everything

Not counting Joseph Gordon-Levitt in The Dark Knight Rises, there hasn't been a live-action Batman movie featuring Robin since 1997's Batman and Robin, in which Chris O'Donnell portrayed Dick Grayson. Unfortunately, this particular version left a lot to be desired.

This could change in 2021, with Matt Reeves' first Batman movie rumoured to include none other than young Master Grayson. The film will have to differentiate itself greatly from both the Dark Knight Trilogy, and Ben Affleck's version of Bruce Wayne, and the inclusion of Robin would be an easy way to achieve this.

While this could begin the process of building a fully functioning Bat Family for Matt Reeves' trilogy, there are further rumours that the character will spread out into a Nightwing spin-off movie. This has been talked about for far too long, and could finally be coming to fruition soon, thanks to a DECU debut in The Batman.

It's about time every aspect of the character, from Dick Grayson to Robin to Nightwing, was finally done justice on the big screen. For such a popular, iconic part of DC lore, Robin's representation in the movies has been below par, something that will hopefully change come 2021.
