8. Matt Reeves Has Hinted At A Trilogy
Matt Reeves has big plans for the Caped Crusader, and it sounds like they're too meaty for just one movie.
The director has admitted that he has an ongoing arc in mind for the Dark Knight, but is squarely focused on the film at hand right now.
Reeves told Fandango...
“I have ideas about an arc, but really, the important thing is just to start … you have to start with one. You know, you have to start with a story that begins something.
“I would be lying if I could tell you that the arcs of Apes was already planned out because it simply wasn’t; it’s one of those things where that character was so potent, and the possibility was embedded from the beginning, but exactly how you’ve got from A to Z is not something that existed.”
Reeves went on to say that his Apes sequels turned out quite differently from how they were originally planned, and he expects his mooted Batman follow-ups to be a similar case, assuming he gets to make them.
