9. The Court Of Owls
There are clues that The Court of Owls will factor into The Batman, with the most obvious being the gauntlets Pattinson's Caped Crusader can be seen wearing. Those look exactly like what the Talons (the assassins who work for that clandestine organisation) don in the comic books, and it's feasible this version of the hero will have been trained by them in some way... or he's just found their gear!
A closer look at the card The Riddler sends to the Dark Knight reveals that there's an owl with golden eyes on the front asking, "Who?" A historic cult made up of Gotham City's elite, Batman had to root them out in order to save his home from their corrupt influence, and that could very easily be Reeves' overarching plan for the world he's creating for his Caped Crusader.
Many fans are convinced that The Riddler is trying to root out The Court of Owls, with Bruce Wayne's family somehow involved (Reeves has dropped some big hints about the hero having to explore his past, so that seems like a logical place to take things in). There are no doubt also plenty of ways the foes Batman faces could be linked to this group across the course of the trilogy.
