The Batman: 15 Details You Missed The First Time

3. The Green Liquid Is DEFINITELY Epinephrine (NOT Venom)

One of the most passionate arguments since The Batman's release has involved the mysterious green vial which Batman injects himself with late in the movie in order to save Selina from one of the Riddler's masked goons.

While some believed it to simply be a typical adrenaline-like concoction, the green colouring caused some fans to suspect it was actually Venom, the drug most commonly associated with Batman villain Bane.

Prone to reading into every last thing as fans are, many accepted this as "confirmation" that Bane exists in this universe and will be appearing in a future sequel.

But now that we're able to scrub through the scene frame-by-frame, the truth has finally been revealed, and a lot of fans aren't going to like it.

At the moment that Bruce injects the vial, we get a split-second glimpse at it, and "epinephrine" is clearly written on the side. Epinephrine is otherwise referred to as adrenaline, and so all that fan speculation has now instantly been shut down.
