The Batman: 6 Actors Who Could Play “Year One” Bruce Wayne

Get past the idea of Edward Cullen as Batman, and there’s something quite exciting about the idea of Robert Pattinson taking on the role of Batman, even if he doesn’t seem likely to appear in a comic book movie anytime soon.

While, yes, he was in Twilight, ever since he left that role behind he’s done everything he can to carve out one of the most interesting filmographies of any young actor in Hollywood today.

He’s another who’d need to add some muscle, but he’s transformed radically for one role already (losing 35lbs for The Lost City of Z), and he’s an actor who could nicely portray the subtleties of being a Bruce Wayne becoming a Batman, and like with Hoult he’d bring a different kind of physicality and be a Batman who doesn’t just rely on his hulking frame and brute strength.

Last year’s Good Time is a great example of how well he can command a screen, with the actor showing the kind of presence necessary to be Batman, but with the discerning charm and a slight weirdness that’d make his Wayne so compelling as well.
