She may have been named only as "Selina Kyle" in the press release announcing the start of filming on The Batman, it's hard to imagine us not getting to see Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman in action here. After all, the actress has vaguely alluded to costume fittings and frequently named Michelle Pfeiffer (who played the character in Batman Returns) as her inspiration.

What makes us so sure that this Catwoman will be comic accurate? Well, Reeves is certainly off to a good start as photos of the actress have confirmed that Kravitz will have a short hairstyle identical to the version of Selina from the majority of her comic book appearances.

Tim Burton took the character down a very weird path, while Christopher Nolan grounded Anne Hathaway's version firmly in reality. The Batman has a strong female lead with Catwoman and likely an interpretation of the anti-hero who will strike the right balance between comic accuracy and being more than just another love interest.
