6. Hamilton's Dumb "Dilemma"

The movie's best acting showcase occurs when Hamilton confesses to Jensen that her children died in a house fire after she kept an unstable energy cell in their home.

At this point Jensen, who knows a version of Hamilton from this alternate dimension, reveals that Hamilton's kids are very much alive in this universe, and as such she stayed on Earth while the Shepard experiment took place.

This leads to a rather preposterous "dilemma" for Hamilton, as she considers taking a pod to visit her family and warn them against using the faulty energy cells.

This is, of course, completely ignoring the fact that she'd be leaving her poor, bereaved husband to his own devices in her original dimension, and it's hard to believe the alternate Hamilton will be happy to just let this version hang around with her forever more. It'd be pretty awkward, no?

When you break it down like this, Hamilton seems like a bit of an a**hole. Sure, conventional morality starts to blur a little when something like this happens, but come on...
