1. The 6,000-Foot Tall Clover Monster
And finally, Hamilton decides to return to her original dimension with Schmidt, after leaving a warning message for her alternate self about the energy cell along with schematics for the Shepard.
The pair manage to successfully jump back to their dimension, and use an escape pod to head down to Earth. As Michael is informed that Cloverfield Station has reappeared, though, he expresses outrage that the crew weren't told what they'd be returning to.
As the pod disappears beneath the clouds in the film's final shot, a gigantic Clover-esque monster emerges above the clouds, letting out a monstrous roar just before the credits roll.
Considering that the original Clover was an infant, it's safe to say that this creature, which has to be at least 6,000 feet tall, is probably a fully mature adult. On one hand it's an hilariously WTF tease, but on the other, it's a shame we only got 10 seconds of the beloved monster in a freaking 100-minute movie.
