The Cloverfield Paradox: 20 WTF Moments

15. Volkov's Eye

Things start getting weird and pretty damn gross once the Shepard has fired successfully. The space station's gyroscope first goes missing, which will prevent it from navigating through space accurately.

Soon thereafter, crew member Volkov (Aksel Hennie) begins to feel discomfort in one of his eyes, and before long, it starts moving around on its own. Volkov then starts creepily talking to himself, cementing that something is very, very wrong following use of the Shepard.

We later learn that the gyroscope has teleported itself inside Volkov's body, hence why his eye can't sit on its usual axis. How wonderfully revolting, even if the CGI could've been a little better.
