7. Background Can Be Explored More
This is a smaller reason perhaps but one that is an equally valid one - we just don't get a huge chance to explore Selina's background in
Dark Knight Rises. We get an allusion to a troubled past where her thieving ways were developed in order to allow her to survive in parallels to Bruce and John (all three were orphaned as children and all chose different paths depending on their background and choices). Not only her history could be explored - the fleeting appearances of Selina's friend and 'colleague' Jen (played by the underused Juno Temple) are intriguing and suggest more history and experience than could be packed into an already overstuffed film - the chance to explore these hidden depths and pasts between the characters would be an absolute delight to watch on the big screen.
