The Dark Knight Rises: 4 Additional Scenes We'd Like To See in Director's Cut

1. What is Bane's Backstory

The origins of Bane is suggested throughout The Dark Knight Rises. We later learn that the past we thought was his actually wasn't, so just where did he come from? In an interview with GQ, Dark Knight Rises costume designer Lindy Hemming revealed how a scene depicting the early days of Bane with a prototype for his mask and body attire adorning his battered body was removed from the final cut.

There€™s a whole early section for Tom Hardy where he€™s fighting and being taunted by people. He€™s got chains on him, and he€™s standing on a wooden thing while people are attacking him. And in that scene, he€™s wearing a much more ragged, primitive version of the mask. (source GQ)

Hemming describes the scene as very revealing and it explains a hell of a lot to any audiences that are unfamiliar with the character's comic book origin just where the masked baldy comes from. If you want a definitive look then we suggest you buy the Vengeance of Bane graphic novel. How likely is it to make the cut?: Nuke The Fridge suggested the additional footage would be Bane heavy so it is very likely that this ends up back in the movie.
