The Dark Knight Rises: 4 Things That Sucked, 2 Things That Ruled

The Legacy

Through the journey of Batman audiences have been inspired as well as won over by comic book films being raised to a new level. Rooted in reality whilst also pushing it sometimes (that thing with the bullet finger prints, like, what the hell?) this franchise has given both thrills and satisfaction to its viewership but also left a blue print that could be followed. Whilst Marvel continues with its throwaway popcorn flicks we see the real world messages of this Batman franchise already transcending in to the trailer for Man Of Steel as DC raises the bar. However more importantly, the ending suggests Batman will live on because he is a symbol, and is incorruptible and indestructible. Just as Batman lives on this franchise will as well. With this trilogy Nolan has crafted something epic; something real and something believable. Something as indestructible as The Dark Knight himself.
