5. He's Morgan Freeman!
He may be something of a parody of himself now (who doesnt have their own Morgan Freeman impression?), but theres a reason Freeman is one of my favourite actors, and why Nolan cast him in the role of Fox. He is one of the best actors still currently working today- sure, he is not as great as he used to be, or rather, his film choices arent, but the same can be said of DeNiro, Pacino, Nicholson, Hopkins! Once you look past The Shawshank Redemption, he was incredible in The Power of One, Seven, Gone Baby Gone, Nurse Betty the list goes on. He brought warmth and gravitas to a character who could easily have been one-dimensional and just necessary to the plot. But Freeman makes it his own, and I probably woulndt be writing this article if Nolan had cast someone else. Morgan Freeman makes Lucius Fox. Thats all there is to it.
