More On THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Begins Filming May 6th At Mehrangarh Fort

Updated:The Times of India reveal that filming in Jodhpur begins May 6th and the only Hollywood actor who will be present will be Christian Bale. Which leads me to ask two things - 1) Could it be that Chris Nolan is playing with time narratives again and these scenes will be flashbacks to when Bruce Wayne was in prison in Batman Begins? or 2) Has Bruce Wayne once again left America to find himself after the events of The Dark Knight? The filming will last for two days and the location used will be Mehrangarh Fort (pictured above). Full story HERE, or read after the jump to see the original article I wrote. May kicks off on Sunday, the month that principal photography officially begins on The Dark Knight Rises and perhaps the first frames shot might take place in Jodhpur, India. Daily Bhaskar reports that The Information and Broadcasting Ministry "has given the nod to US-based Cape Road Productions to lense the next Batman flick" there. What does director Chris Nolan have planned? I would take a wild stab in the dark that it has something to do with the casting of Josh Pence as the young Ra's Al Ghul, who we already know will appear in flashback. Though I could be wrong, perhaps this is where we find Tom Hardy's imprisoned Bane? BOF have a trusted source who says the India shoot comes first, before moving on to L.A., New York, London (and various other U.K. spots), Pittsburgh (though we don't know in which order these come in). We also don't know when exactly in May filming will begin. Could it be as early as this Monday? Or is it the Monday after? I'm sure when we find out for sure, hundreds of spy photographers will be trying to gain exclusive snaps and if it's anything like the production of The Dark Knight, this process will be everyday.
