The Dark Knight Rises MTV Trailer Has Lots of Awesome New Footage

As promised, Warner Bros debuted new footage from The Dark Knight Rises as director Christopher Nolan and stars Christian Bale, Gary Oldman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt took to the stage at the MTV Movie Awards 2012, which was broadcasted last night. The new trailer surprisingly is filled with new footage, perhaps even on a percentage calculator showing off more unseen footage than stuff we've seen before. Even the scenes we have glimpsed at previously, Nolan shows it from a new angle which reveals something we didn't know before (such as Anne Hathaway's Selina Kyle being in the prison and performing that acrobatic move with a prisoner) and suddenly the overall picture for the narrative beats of the film are looking a lot clearer. I'm not going to tag a spoiler warning on this amazing new footage as this was an officially released extended trailer, however I will say if you watch the trailer frame by frame and piece together what could be happening in each scene with previous photos and footage, then you will work out some of Nolan's big secrets for the film.
