The Dark Knight Rises Toys Showcase Possible Movie Secrets

Mattel Toys has granted us a showcase of their new vehicle line for The Dark Knight Rises with a potential teaser at what this new flying 'Bat' may have in store in the film. For starters it's nice to get a good look at the design of 'The Bat'. We see the propellers under the body of the vehicle. There's the familiar shape to tie it in with the Tumbler / Batmobile and more interestingly the 'Launch and Attack' Batman figure could possibly hint at some sort of action set piece in the film itself (or just be another toy fad to give kids something to fire at someone). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mn-BYqSIDY0 As for the new 'Quicktek Attack Armour Batpod' this really does feel like a toy fad giving Mattel a chance to resell an old toy with some new gizmos. That said putting armour on the Batpod makes a bit of sense, so maybe this could be a glimpse of what's to come in The Dark Knight Rises come July (though I doubt it). More teases of the new Batman movie. What is everyone thinking of 'The Bat' so far? I think it's pretty hardcore, and much like The Tumbler will no doubt win us over with what it does rather than how it looks on first impressions. I'm also not to keen on the it being called 'The Bat', there's only one 'The Bat' in the Batman universe and that's Batman himself but forgetting that, the simple tag of 'The Bat' does sort of make the Bat-plane/helicopter very, very cool doesn't it? The Dark Knight Rises opens 20th July 2012. Expect the toys just before that.
