The Dark Tower Leaked Trailer: 10 Things We Learned

1. It's Even Riskier Than We Expected

Taking the trailer on its own terms, it becomes apparent just how much there really is riding on this $60 million movie, which will attempt to appeal to the Young Adult market and fans of the novels all at once.

It's an incredibly risky prospect that could either result in one of these core groups feeling alienated and costing Columbia a ton of potential revenue, or worse still, it could be a movie that tries to do all things for all people and ultimately pleases nobody, bombing at the box office as a consequence.

At least it won't have much competition with that undemanding February release date, but hopefully audiences will actually turn up for it (assuming it's actually any good, of course).

What did you make of the leaked Dark Tower trailer? Hyped? Disappointed? Swearing it off until the proper trailer comes out? Shout it out in the comments!
