Jake's journey well and truly begins when he tracks down the Dutch Hill Mansion he seemingly saw in his dreams. Upon arriving there, he discovers a vortex or portal which allows him entry into Mid-World.

Some have criticised the vortex for being a little too sci-fi and over-the-top, but on its own terms it looks pretty damn cool, no?
