The Exact Moment Futurama Lost Us
4. Everything Was Rushed
The four movies that made up Futurama’s return can be broken down into 16 episodes, which is essentially a full season of the show. This is a lot of work, and it feels that throughout the movies there were far too many corners cut and moments rushed.
The storylines of all four lacked somewhat, in particular 'The Beast with a Billion Backs', while 'Bender’s Game' was a weak spoof of several different fantasy stories mixed into one. The worst culprit of this however was 'Into the Wild Green Yonder'.
The fourth and final movie was absolutely riddled with mistakes, plot holes, and continuity errors. Leo Wong randomly had five fingers at one stage, when and where the Feministas revealed themselves and who knew what was going on was ridiculous, and during one conversation the Professor's hand very noticeably changes to that of Hermes and back.
The whole thing stunk of being rushed and no one actually putting in the effort to make it as good as Futurama used to be. Why should the audience care about a project if the people actually making it don’t?
