9. Terry Crews Spends Most Of The Movie In The Hospital
One of the biggest break-out stars from the Expendables line-up is Terry Crews, who made waves in the original movie when he unleashed the AA-12 on General Garza's men and totally cleaned house. Sadly, however, his character Hale Caesar has his screen time severely cut down in EX3, because he's put in the hospital after being shot and gravely wounded by Mel Gibson's villain Conrad Stonebanks in the first half-hour. The movie very occasionally cuts back to an unconscious Caesar in the hospital, but he doesn't make a proper appearance again until the very end of the movie, showing up at a bar to hang out with his team. Considering how hilarious and bada** Crews was in the previous movies, putting him in the hospital rather than, say, the comparatively anonymous Randy Couture, was a massive mistake.
