The Flash: 24 WTF Moments

3. Barry Ensures His Mother's Death & Saves His Father From Prison

The Flash Ezra Miller
Warner Bros.

The movie ends with Prime Barry - the only remaining Barry at this point - fixing the mess he created by going back to the moment from earlier in the movie where he placed the fateful can of tomatoes in his mother's shopping cart.

Knowing that he needs to accept his mother's death to keep the multiverse in tact, Barry removes the can of tomatoes from her cart, but not before having an affecting conversation with his mother, who of course has no idea who he really is, having never seen her son grow to this age.

Barry does the right thing, teeing up his mother's demise, but doesn't stop there - he also speedily rearranges the placement of the tomato cans, moving them from the bottom shelf to the top shelf.

The reason for this? The original CCTV footage from the store didn't exonerate Barry's father Henry from his mother's murder because he keeps his face down, picking the tomato can from a low shelf.

But by moving the cans to the top shelf, Henry tilts his head up enough that his face is visible on camera, in turn proving he couldn't have killed his wife.
