The Legend Of Tarzan Trailer Swings In

"He's Tarzan. You're Jane. He'll come for you."

After sharing the first couple of stills from the latest effort to bring Tarzan to the big screen, Warner Bros have released the trailer for the Alexander Skarsgard-starring picture - check it out below. I'm not really sure what to make of The Legend of Tarzan. There's far too much CGI going on here, and not all of it looks great. It's obviously unfinished - at least, I hope it's unfinished - so there's improvements they can make. But the gorillas look a little weird, and Tarzan's vine-swinging scenes remind me just a tad too much of Shia LaBeouf's similar escapades in Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. There's also the fact that most of that jungle looks ridiculously fake, which is ironic considering director David Yates comment yesterday;
"A lot of movies, you have to go to the far reaches of the galaxy to find extraordinary beauty and amazing things... they€™re right here on the planet. They exist just a few thousand miles away."
Funny, then, that they decided to shoot in English airplane hangars, trussed up to look like the Congo. It's not all bad, though! Margot Robbie looks a good fit for Jane, Christoph Waltz clearly isn't getting bored of playing villains anytime soon, and Samuel L. Jackson looks to be having a fun time as real-life historical figure George Washington Williams. Although I'd probably rather watch a biopic about him than a fiction about Tarzan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rObS3KqMJ4&feature=youtu.be A poster was also released alongside the trailer, which you can check out below.
The Legend of Tarzan is released on 1 July 2016 in the US and 8 July in the UK.
