7. The Hidden Mickeys
It's a well-known quirk of the Disney company to hide references to their most beloved and well-known character creation in as many of their other projects as possible, which explains why there are so many pages on the net dedicated to Hidden Mickey Mouses. And The Little Mermaid is no different, with the most celebrated instance coming in Ursula's contract, which Ariel should probably have read a little more closely for the fine print. In her haste, she missed the whole "loss of voice" bit, as well as the cheeky little Mickey Mouse you can see in the image above. Had she seen him, she might have taken heed of the clearly startled expression on his face, and perhaps might have been warned of the stickier terms of the contract too. And not only that - slightly less obviously, the animators also hid Mickey Mouse hids in the ornate decorations on Eric's ship...
