Aragorn, son of Arathorn, Isildur's heir. There aren't too many characters in movie history that can match him for his spirit and determination.
Aragorn is the epitome of the good guy, he never falters for a second and was chosen by Gandalf to replace him as leader of the Fellowship if he should fall. As the direct descendent to Isildur, he is the one true King and leader of the world of men.
His journey throughout the film series is one of an uncertain man who is trying to avoid his destiny, eventually coming to see that he is the only one who can bond the world of men together for a final stand against Sauron and the armies of Mordor.
Played expertly by Viggo Mortensen, Aragorn has become a synonym for courage, honour, and he has definitely had to make some hard choices. Whilst the Fellowship ends up divided and broken, his quest to help Frodo in whichever way he can is unfaltering, even when he is nowhere near Frodo, Aragorn still does whatever is necessary to ensure that the world around them will survive.
Two decades after the first film was released, Aragorn is still a cultural icon and cinematic statue of virtue. However, can you pass this quiz? Or will you fail?
