Even accepting that the movie doesn't do nearly enough with its neato body-swapping gimmick and its VFX are dead-average, Nia DaCosta does at least deliver a number of entertainingly chaotic and spritely action sequences.

The set-pieces, though hardly standout for the franchise as a whole, make the most of the three leads' physicality and emphasise their growing bond as their synergy increases.

These superpowered throwdowns provide much-needed relief from the barrage of wooden expository dialogue throughout, and help the film tear through its short runtime in relatively inoffensive fashion.

It's just a shame that the action staging didn't make a little more effort to really have fun with the body-swapping shtick.
