The Mighty Ducks Cast - Where Are They Now?

5. Jussie Smollett - Terry Hall

In a strange twist of fate, the actor who played Terry Hall, the less important of the Hall brothers who didn't even appear in either sequel, went on to have a bigger career than his onscreen brother. There's not a lot to write about Terry Hall because of his small presence in the movie franchise, aside from the fact he was Jesse Hall's brother. The actor who played him on the other hand, Jussie Smollet, has much more to write home about.

Following the first movie, Smollett went on to feature in the shows Cro and On Our Own, but his most prominent success arrived in 2015 when he landed a role on the hit show Empire alongside Terence Howard and Taraji P. Henson. In it, he played Jamal Lyons, the son of Howard's character, and one of the potential heirs to his empire. His role was massively successful and won a lot of accolades for an honest and positive depiction of a gay black man on prime-time television. Then something unusual happened.

In 2019 Smollett notified police that he was the victim of an alleged assault by a couple of people wearing ski masks, who apparently also made allusions to being Trump supporters. The claims he made were quite worrying, alleging his attackers had doused him in an unknown liquid and placed a noose around his neck before he managed to fight them off. However, what seemed like a heinous crime started to unravel into something more. The very next month Smollett was charged by a grand jury for filing a false police report. Since then the charges against Smollett have been dropped, and then new ones filled over the course of a year. The truth behind it all? Who knows, but Smollett is no longer on Empire and hasn't been on our screens since. It's a real shame, because he's a fine young actor.
