THE MUPPETS Get A Real Poster!

In what is perhaps the first wholly non-ironic bit of promotion for the movie so far, Disney have released a brand new Toy Story 3-esque poster for the upcoming all-singing, all-dancing The Muppets.

In what is perhaps the first wholly non-ironic bit of promotion for the movie so far, Disney has released a brand new poster for the upcoming all-singing, all-dancing The Muppets. Reminiscent of last year's Toy Story 3 poster (which saw the gang gathered around a giant number 3), the image below features Gonzo, Ralph, Animal, Fozzy Bear et al gathered around a large 'M', styled to resemble Kermit the Frog's felt, green torso - admittedly a disturbing image if put in those terms. Whilst we've all enjoyed* the comedy trailers - specifically the "Green With Envy" rom-com parody - it is nice to see Disney starting to promote the movie in its own right before the whole thing got boring. In the last joke-trailer (Green Lantern spoof "Being Green") they even had star and writer Jason Segel asking "is this another Muppet trailer parody? Can't we just show a real trailer?" Maybe this poster is a sign that the real deal will soon be forthcoming. *And yes I know not everyone enjoyed it, with commenter "Yellow Zonker" moved to opine on seeing one faux trailer: "It was bad before the Muppets turned up. Then it got worse." But he/she has no soul**. **Sorry "Yellow Zonker". The poster may only say "coming soon", but The Muppets is scheduled for a much more concrete release date - apparently November 23rd in the USA. And apparently "not in Swedish".
