The plan falls apart... THE A-TEAM loses it's director!

Director John Singleton has exited THE A-TEAM... Variety claim he departed because 20th Century Fox wanted to go through even more re-writes to a script that has already seen several drafts. Singleton, getting frustrated... said to hell with it. The movie has now been pushed back from a June 2009 bow to a June 2010 release. I guess we should have seen this coming as the movie has no cast and was never going to be wrapped for it's June 09 release in just 8 months time. AICN wonder if an exec at Fox got the idea to go the overly comedic route with the project rather than them taking a sudden disliking to the script, citing the lack of good scripts the studio have put through recently (THE HAPPENING... BABYLON A.D... JUMPER...) as being an indicator that they don't shy away usually from greenlighting crap. Or more simply put. It was crap to begin with, they knew it was and in a last ditch effort to save the project they will Ben Stiller it up! More changes to Fox's forthcoming release schedule can be read HERE.
