The Single Biggest Mistake Each MCU Film And TV Show Has Made

16. The Falcon And The Winter Soldier - It's A Film Pretending To Be A TV Show

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, with its terrible villains, bland action, painfully uneven script and ever-wooden lead performance from Sebastian Stan, has more than its share of problems, but the single biggest one is the same issue that has also plagued most of the other Disney+ shows: it's a feature film pretending to be a TV show.

In contrast to WandaVision, which most definitely was a TV show, Falcon and the Winter Soldier feels like a four-hour film randomly cut into six parts. Ideally, a TV show's episodes should each be a satisfying unit with a beginning, a middle and an end, but that isn't the case at all with this one, and this total lack of structure is the main reason why most of Falcon and the Winter Soldier's episodes are so flat and boring.

This has been a problem with several of Disney+'s other TV shows too, not just the Marvel ones. Disney really need to get their heads around what a TV show is actually meant to be.
