The Suicide Squad: 22 WTF Moments

10. The HORRIFYING Project Starfish Lab

The Suicide Squad Harley Quinn
Warner Bros.

Once the Suicide Squad gains custody of Gaius Grieves aka The Thinker (Peter Capaldi), he grants them access to Jotunheim, the Nazi-era prison where the United States government has been conducting experiments with the extraterrestrial creature Starro as part of "Project Starfish."

The Thinker walks the Squad through part of the lab, giving us a horrifying glimpse at some of the experiments taking place down there.

We see a bisected corpse with one of Starro's spores attached to its face, and elsewhere the gory remains of a human's face who previously had one of the spores attached.

There are also some large tanks which contain things we can't quite see, but presumably it's not good, and certainly not ethical.
