6. John Cena - Sportsmaster

John Cena's name being on the castlist here is obviously a huge deal for WWE fans, but he's also proved himself to be a pretty gifted actor too - particularly in comic roles recently. If this comes off, he could genuinely be set for a similar trajectory to The Rock in Hollywood, it's that astute a career move.
Lots of talk has suggested that Cena would be great for Peacemaker, but it would make a whole world more sense for him to be playing Sportsmaster. The character is actually one of the names linked with Idris Elba too, but the idea of a frustrated sports star turning to crime fits Cena's look. He's a pretty goofy character, but you could definitely see Cena playing him...
Hold up, what are we thinking? There's surely only one character Cena can possibly be playing - Gentleman Ghost. Because you can't see HIM either.

In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and the Golden Age of Hollywood Noir. John Carpenter is his fave, and he thinks Batman Beyond should never have been cancelled.
