The Tax Collector Review: 4 Ups & 6 Downs

1. The Brutal Bursts Of Violence

Though most of the movie's action doesn't really hit the mark at all, there are at least a few inspired bursts of violence which should evoke the desired revulsion from audiences.

Two notable scenes amp up the violence to wince-inducing levels, particularly a sequence in which a rival perp has his head dangled out of a car before his face is grazed against the pavement at high-speed.

The resulting facial injuries are quite nauseating, and finally see the movie hitting the visceral peak it really should've reached a good while sooner.

Outside of these moments, though, most of the shooting and killing on offer is quite numbing and forgettable.
