Is there anything worse than short teasers that advertise the imminent release of a teaser trailers? Normally I'd be inclined to answer with a resounding "OF COURSE NOT!" but having just seen the Deadpool Trailer Trailer (itself a p*ss-taking name) I'm feeling a little more giving. Less than a minute long, this brilliant ad features the Merc with a Mouth sat in the dark, trailer-voicing his upcoming movie. It's a hilarious watch, with light fourth-wall tickling ("From the studio who inexplicably sewed his f**king mouth shut the first time...") and some more self-depreciating humour ("Starring five-time Academy award viewer Ryan Reynolds..."). The tone is pretty spot on, continuing an already fun marketing campaign (Reynolds has been pretty active on Twitter, posting subversive pictures) and stoking excitement for what seems like a more off-the-wall superhero flick.
