1. It's A Little Too Long

Much as it might sound insane to complain that a movie this like is too long, sometimes it's important to kill your darlings, as its 107-minute runtime could've used a few slight nips and tucks.

This unsurprisingly pertains to the moments that Cage is off-screen, particularly where the focus shifts to Javi's cousin Lucas (Paco León) - the true villain of the piece and who eats up a too-large portion of screen time in the middle of the movie.

The doofus CIA agents played by Tiffany Haddish and Ike Barinholtz, while largely entertaining, could also probably have their presence trimmed a little, especially as the wider particulars of the CIA plot aren't very interesting.

These are minor quibbles all things considered, but there's something to be said for a tight 90-minute movie that just gets in and out without an ounce of fat on it.

These issues aside, though, here's what Massive Talent gets so, so right...
