The Warriors: Ranking Every Gang Worst To Best
9. The Boppers
It's hard to understand exactly why the Boppers chose that particular name for themselves, as it's used in the movie as a term to address all of the city's gangs at once, but let's put that aside.
The Boppers are a pretty cool, if somewhat problematic bunch. They walk around with effortless style; pristine purple waistcoats and fedoras, ties and shiny black dress shoes are all a part of their collective look. They're also the only gang confirmed to have both male and female members, so they score a point for diversity, too.
The Boppers are truly a product of another time, though. Having them all talk in jive might have seemed like a good idea in the '70s, but in the modern day, the Boppers are little more than a relic of a stranger and harsher time.
They're also shown to be lovers and not fighters, which is a pretty bold move in a city as hostile as The Warriors' New York.
