The Warriors: Ranking Every Gang Worst To Best

2. The Gramercy Riffs

The Warriors
Paramount Pictures

New York's biggest and most powerful gang, originally led by the charismatic and intelligent Cyrus, the Gramercy Riffs control or co-ordinate all of the noteworthy gangs in the city, with the smaller ones all vying to get onto the Riffs' network.

Shown to be not only great in numbers but in discipline, the Riffs look and act more like a military outfit than a gang of criminals.

They're shown to be brutal and ruthless, but also fair, lifting the price on the Warriors' heads after learning they had been framed, and allowing them to continue operating in peace.

Over the course of the game, the Warriors work their way onto the Riffs' network, and in the movie, they earn their respect after proving their resilience and resourcefulness.

The Riffs might be New York's biggest gang, but the best?

"Yeah, right!"
