18. The Panzers
The Panzers (also known as the "rewind-it-a-second-was-that-Lawrence-Fishburne"s) are an all African-American gang based in the Washington Heights area of Manhattan.
Featured only momentarily in the movie, the Panzers, like many of the other gangs, play a much larger role in the video game, where they were involved in a riot during the Riverside Blackout and played a role in the Soho Writer's Showdown, a graffiti contest.
The Panzers' appearance is similar to that of real-life organisation The Black Panthers, sporting camouflage jackets and dark caps.
Little else is known about them other than they seem to constantly be at odds with the other gangs, and they rarely come out on top.
