The Wolverine: 10 Things We Want To See

4. The X-Men In Japan

Japan cropped With Shingen out of the way, Mariko is free to marry who she choses, and she choses Logan. The X-Men travel to Japan to attend the wedding. This is quite a significant event not just for Wolverine but for the X-Men as well. As discussed earlier, Storm is completely transformed from the trip to Japan through meeting Yukio. The trip to Japan is also very significant for Rogue. In the comics, Rogue had just recently joined the X-Men after having previously been a villain. She was yet to prove herself as an X-Man, but she did prove it in Japan. Sadly, it is unlikely that the X-Men will play any major role in the film. Jackman has confirmed that there will be a cameo from one of the past X-Men in the film. There have been rumours that the cameo is Jean Grey, who Wolverine seemingly killed at the end of X-Men: The Last Stand. Whoever the cameo turns out to be, it will be great to see more X-Men in Japan.
