1. Mariko Yashida = New Love Interest
Logan's relationship with mutant Yukio seems to be strictly platonic - as is appropriate given their considerable gaps in age - yet going by the glimpses we've seen of Mariko Yashida (Tao Okamoto) engaging in intimate staring matches with Logan, it seems that this film is going to follow the comic book arc of Logan falling for Yashida's daughter, as is massively disapproved of by just about everyone in her family. Sure, it's an easy route to take, but it should make for some compelling drama, and will importantly help Logan to move on from Jean Grey's demise. It's fair to say that, in the end, Mariko will likely die or the relationship will end somehow, as it's difficult to imagine her character being dragged into the subsequent Days of Future Past arcs; that would just be an anchor weighing the guy down.
