There’s One Hilarious Reason To Watch The Now You See Me 2 Trailer

The once and future Lex Luthor returns to ask if this is your card.

Director Louis Letterier has always been an entertaining director. Say what you will about The Transporter, Clash Of The Titans or The Incredible Hulk, but they are popcorn films, through and through. Although much of his output may be style over substance, he continues to get bums in seats, and Now You See Me was no exception; a glossy, magician€™s take on Ocean€™s 11, there was enough there to be enjoyed by mainstream audiences €“ be it solid action setpieces or a great ensemble cast. Most of whom return here a few years later (bar Isla Fisher, apparently, with Lizzie Caplan in her stead) in the trailer for Now You See Me 2. Jesse Eisenberg has a shaved pate thanks to Batman V Superman, Morgan Freeman is present, making orange jumpsuits look distinguished and Michael Caine, Woody Harrelson, Mark Ruffalo and Dave Franco are all back to make impossible magic tricks possible via the use of CGI. Check out the trailer below, and wait for that one final gracenote at the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InqU8CLwbPg I€™m sorry, but that has to be one of the best endings to a trailer in the last six months, Suicide Squad be damned (I immediately take that back). That said, the use of the Boy Wizard himself is hilarious, and, frankly €“ worth the price of admission alone. Letterier himself actually isn€™t returning, instead handing the reins over to sure-thing sequel-maker Jon M. Chu (GI Joe: Retaliation), who proved with his own action-sequel credentials that he knows how to put a popcorn flick together. All I know is that now you€™ll see me at the cinema on 10th June 2016 for some dumb fun. Now You See Me 2 is released on 10th June 2016.
